First Cloud City Incident - Corvette Response - August 2023

 Hello all dear companions of Ragtime Software Studio.  I am posting this today in response to a cyber-security incident at our parent corporation of Goliath Energy Corporation.  This attack resulting in the loss of a website was carried out in early August 2023 and the Griffith Enterprizes home page was targeted.  It would be noted that within the context of our space simulation, Goliath is a station (jokingly referred to as Cloud City) and Ragtime is a space capsule that is currently networked to G.E.C.  For this reason, this incident must be taken most seriously.  In simple terms, Ragtime is a Rebel Corvette providing security for Cloud City.  This incident was reported on both the G.E.C. and G.E. home pages of their attached blogging systems and repairs were conducted on the home websites for G.E.C. and Clockworks security.  As a result of these repairs the blogging platform system which this page is currently linked to became the primary system for G.E.C.  In this manner, we can continue all of our operations successfully and indefinitely as we continue to grow the company by offering cutting edge software and media online.  

Simply put, Ragtime just wants to assure everyone that this platform is safe, secure, stable and operational.  Ragtime is working to respond to this incident by enhancing security procedures around the rest of the platform.  Fortunately, as has been noted in the other publications, the redundancy of the three (now two) homepages has made them something that is unnecessary.  However, Ragtime will still work to protect them, because those web pages have to be attacked first and there is a significant cost associated with attacking them, and even with their loss.  In this way, that which is simply free advertising from our perspective becomes significant fortifications in the world of online cyber defense.  Ragtime has no associated website like this or business profile which would be susceptible to this type of attack.  For this reason, Ragtime may continue to operate in a manner that provides security for the central blogging and software deploying apparatus of the Goliath Energy Corporation.  By securing the station itself, Ragtime will be effectuating an indirect response against this attack in support of the general response of the system.  We hope this prevents and deters future attacks.  Good Luck and thank you for reading!
